His Glory or Yours
Trust in the Lord and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Another question from my mentoring brother of Christ was “Is your work for God’s glory or yours?” I immediately got defensive and said “For Gods glory” and then I stopped and thought about everything I changed in my life in the past three years and it is true; it is for God’s glory but I have been praying for some glory of my own. I know we all want to be praised for our work but we don’t always get it and we shouldn’t do things and expect to get something in return. We do what we are passionate about for God and his glory will shine through us without any help of a spotlight.
“Closer to the One” is a testimony of life changing events; it’s about taking responsibility for my actions and accepting Jesus as my Lord and savior. I would have never had the guts to share my testimony with the world if it wasn’t for Jesus Christ.
I was once a Christian living in the silence of my own ways not letting Jesus in because he was a human more so than my lord and savior. He represented love and life but he also represented a human body and I haven’t been very trusting towards other humans for a long time. People only saw what I wanted them to see or sometimes they saw too much and then I would disappear.
As I renew my mind everyday before I turn on the marketing strategist of the Godly and savvy business woman I ask the Lord to give me strength, love, and grace to walk the path he has chosen for me. My path is lonely at times and very challenging but its Gods way and his way is the only way.
