My words may fail me but God’s truth never fails.
Ecclesiastes 3 (NIV)
A Time for Everything
3 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
9 What do workers gain from their toil? 10 I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race. 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. 12 I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. 13 That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God. 14 I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that people will fear him.
It’s the first step in the path of my day and I see nowhere to put my foot except on the dark water… God is amazing; I see only what I need to see. “Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)
Since God intends to make you like Jesus, he will take you through the same experiences Jesus went through. (Warren, R., 2013, p.173)
- To deal with suffering and problems in life as Jesus did remember God has a plan and that it is good. “I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
- To deal with suffering as Jesus did, we must rejoice and give thanks in the midst of it. “Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
- To deal with suffering as Jesus did, refuse to give up. “Let the process go on until your endurance is fully developed, and you will find that you have become men of mature character… with no weak spots.” (James 1:3-4)
“You need to stick it out, staying with God’s plan so you’ll be there for the promised completion.” (Hebrews 10:36)

The Holy Bible.
One of my favorite shows growing up was Quantum Leap. The idea of the science behind it and the ability to change the tragedies of our lives and the world. To go back and take the high road instead of the one you chose. The theory is nice but the reality is that God has a plan and no matter what road you choose he will use it for his greater good; his plan is inevitable your plan is full of flaws.
We can plan all we want but when God says no you have to do this or go here or say this; don’t argue or fight it because it is a losing battle to fight against God. God has us in his hands and the only thing you do when you fight God is toss and turn in his hands until you pass out from exhaustion. I know; I have done this.
Through daily prayer and surrender you will know Gods will.
1 Timothy 2:1-4 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus..
It’s a terrible feeling to feel trapped or locked in somewhere that you are unsure of; I know from experience. In both relationship and career we find ourselves locked down in a situation where we try on our to find the solution. Trying to solve a problem without God is the mistake that keeps us locked in; we are our worst lock to finding peace.
Jesus is the key to our salvation. Only through Jesus can the lock that binds you be released. This world is filled will happiness and sorrow. We must seek God through the sorrow to find the happiness that he has for us.
As I write these very words I remember many things that I faced to get to this point. Alone without someone to love me is overwhelming at times. I have little faith in the dating sites because it’s difficult to tell by a picture who that person is. I ask God to unlock me from myself so that I do not block my true love from finding me through my fear.
