A Time for Everthing

My words may fail me but God’s truth never fails.

Ecclesiastes 3 (NIV)

A Time for Everything

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:

a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

What do workers gain from their toil? 10 I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race. 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet[a] no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. 12 I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. 13 That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God. 14 I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that people will fear him.

Jesus; This is How He Felt

It’s the first step in the path of my day and I see nowhere to put my foot except on the dark water…  God is amazing; I see only what I need to see. “Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)

Since God intends to make you like Jesus, he will take you through the same experiences Jesus went through. (Warren, R., 2013, p.173)

  • To deal with suffering and problems in life as Jesus did remember God has a plan and that it is good. “I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
  • To deal with suffering as Jesus did, we must rejoice and give thanks in the midst of it. “Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
  • To deal with suffering as Jesus did, refuse to give up. “Let the process go on until your endurance is fully developed, and you will find that you have become men of mature character… with no weak spots.” (James 1:3-4)

“You need to stick it out, staying with God’s plan so you’ll be there for the promised completion.” (Hebrews 10:36)

All You Need Is Love!

thUKBI4FKF

Today’s scripture was on the teaching of Gods love and the love of one another.  Even if you are a non-believer you are capable of loving others and being kind.  You may not believe in Jesus Christ or God our father but they believe in you.  God has a way of getting into your heart when you least expect it.

With dreams of changing directions and overcoming challenges God’s reminding direction for today is faith, hope, and love.  I am to have faith in him for my hearts desires and needs, hope through the trials, tribulations, and blessings, and love for him and others as I would want to be loved.  Worry over the little things does not make them better; it clouds our judgement to where we miss the little blessings within all the trials.  It’s not always easy to see the brighter side to a bad situation but if you pray about it Jesus will walk and talk with you as our father shines the light through the cracks to reveal the beauty. The answer to our problem is usually right in front of us but it is only revealed through your faith.

Jesus said, “Your strong love for each other will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” John 13:35

These three things continue forever: faith, hope, and love.  And the greatest of these is love.  1 Corinthians 13:13

Man of His Word

glory-to-god

The beauty of Jesus and our Father is that they are man of their word.  God says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11)  God is the father  and Jesus is the son both whom work as one with the holy spirit.  The desires of our hearts as we walk the righteous path will be set before us in God’s time.  The man God has made for me will see me as I see him in the right moment at the right time.  God’s hand is molding him as he is molding me.  His hands are sweet, firm, and attentive but patient is his plans.

Although the journey has made me weary I rely on Jesus as God’s strength, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. (Matthew 11:28-29)

To the Man of His Word:

I will see you as you see me;

I will hear you as you hear me.

I will love you as you love me;

I will adore you as you adore me,

and as God leads you and loves you;

he will lead me and love me as I follow you.

Isaiah 40:29-31

He gives power to the weak
and strength to the powerless.
Even youths will become weak and tired,
and young men will fall in exhaustion.
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.

Quantum Leap

One of my favorite shows growing up was Quantum Leap.  The idea of the science behind it and the ability to change the tragedies of our lives and the world. To go back and take the high road instead of the one you chose.  The theory is nice but the reality is that God has a plan and no matter what road you choose he will use it for his greater good; his plan is inevitable your plan is full of flaws.

We can plan all we want but when God says no you have to do this or go here or say this; don’t argue or fight it because it is a losing battle to fight against God.  God has us in his hands and the only thing you do when you fight God is toss and turn in his hands until you pass out from exhaustion. I know; I have done this.

Through daily prayer and surrender you will know Gods will.

1 Timothy 2:1-4  First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

How Can It Be?

passion of christ

The song How can it be? says it all.  When I think of how unworthy I have felt of Gods love or anyone’s love in the past I think of this song and the image above. When we hit rock bottom and stop relying on ourselves and others for help and look to our Lord and God our Father for repentance and the renewing of our souls we will find the path to holiness and Christ-like image God intended us to be.

It is important to remember no matter how dirty we get God can clean us up.  If you surrender yourself to the Lord Jesus Christ and God our father you will find a new life so much more beautiful and peaceful then you can ever image.

I had a dream over a year ago with the image of a painting that I am preparing to do.  I only hope that God allows it to be as beautiful as the image in my head.

Our goal with Acting Out For Love Corp. is to give a firm helping hand with a Godly foundation.   If we don’t know the answer we will pray and God will help us find it.  As a single parent myself I know  how hard it can be and the loneliness you feel even when you live near family.  When you first hit the door running for a new life you may think you can handle it but the truth is without God it is just pure recklessness.

Seek God first and do your best to follow his truth and he will take care of the rest.

John 15 1-3
I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.  He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.  You are already clean because of the words I have spoken to you.

In His Hands

closer to the one front

Romans 12:11
Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor.
Philippians 4:13
I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
Psalm 28:7
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped.
Isaiah 55:11
So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

There is a lot of pressure in this world to be the best of the best and often we put most of it on ourselves.   When we are passionate about things that we are good at we put so much pressure on winning and others who are living through you put pressure on you too.

As a writer I want to become one of the great writers that leave a legacy.  I have discovered, like me, many writers didn’t make a living off their writing they had a day time career that paid the bills.  Attorney/writer Scott Turow wrote his first few best sellers, on the train to and from work, Toni Morrison won a Pulitzer prize for her novels and she worked as an editor in Manhattan, Poet William Carlos Williams was a pediatrician; poet Wallace Stevens sold insurance.

In the nineteenth century, Harriet Beecher Stowe wrote her great bestseller, Uncle Tom’s Cabin, between scrubbing floors, cooking, and raising her children, Nathaniel Hawthorne worked in the Salem Custom House and wrote “The Scarlett Letter” at night, and Lewis Carroll wrote “Alice in Wonderland” and he was a mathematician.

When I get overwhelmed and have doubts about how, when, and what I will write about I think of these people whom I discovered are just like me.

You are not born being great at something, you master it through surrendering your life to the Lord, and letting him guide you through your growth of using your gift for his Glory and through his glory you will shine.

In anything and everything you do surrender it the Lord, do your best, and let God do the rest.

Unlock me

lock and key

Hebrews 12:1-2

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus..

It’s a terrible feeling to feel trapped or locked in somewhere that you are unsure of; I know from experience.  In both relationship and career we find ourselves locked down in a situation where we try on our to find the solution.  Trying to solve a problem without God is the mistake that keeps us locked in; we are our worst lock to finding peace.

Jesus is the key to our salvation.  Only through Jesus can the lock that binds you be released.  This world is filled will happiness and sorrow.  We must seek God through the sorrow to find the happiness that he has for us.

As I write these very words I remember many things that I faced to get to this point. Alone without someone to love me is overwhelming at times.  I have little faith in the dating sites because it’s difficult to tell by a picture who that person is.  I ask God to unlock me from myself so that I do not block my true love from finding me through my fear.
