The Sky is Falling

Remember when you were on cloud nine and you had the feeling that the sky’s the limit but then all of a sudden in a blink of an eye your heart gets ripped out and handed to you by life through the loss of someone you love.

One thing I do know first hand is that “The only way to live without someone you love is through Jesus Christ.”  Without Jesus and our heavenly fathers love life ceases to exist with any meaning and we become reckless and lost.  In some ways I am thankful for such a great loss. Without the loss my eyes may have never been opened. As in John 9:25, “I was blind but now I see.”

Please open your heart and eyes and surrender to the Lord.  God gives you one gift of life on this earth; don’t waste it. “God blesses those who realize they need him.” Matthew 5:3

Inspiring scripture-

Psalm 37:3-5

Trust in the Lord and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him and he will do this:

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

John 9:25

He replied, “Whether he is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!”

Matthew 5:3

The Beatitudes

“God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.

Stare or Stairs

Staring can get us in trouble or embarrass us. Sometimes we stare through things when others may think we are staring at them or something else. Sometimes we stare at people we find attractive or we do not like.

When you see something you like or want you can stare or you can take the stairs and go after it.  I know I have let my fear get in the way many times in my life and sometimes it was too late to get back what I lost.  Everyday the news reflects the loss of life and it saddens me.  We fight so hard to be right instead of being together and loving one another.

In each new day, I ask for strength, grace, and love, and to be able to hear, see, and feel the Lord as I walk the path he has chosen for me.  We strive to be Christ-like but we must remember we will never master it until we get to heaven.   God has great plans for me and my family.  It’s important to remember patience as I wait for my husband and in the process I learn more compassion to share in my ministry for other single parents longing to be closer to the one with the one.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

pcik me

Years ago I had a dream I was standing in church behind a lot of women hoping to be chosen as the one to be a mans wife and of course I wasn’t the one the man wanted and I watched him carry off another and then I turned and walked out through the open doors.  The dream speaks to me about life and reminds me that we shouldn’t wait on someone to choose for us what will happen next; only God knows his plan for us.  God’s plan for me is so much better than I could ever dream of.

In relationships, jobs, and daily living God has a plan for us all and as long as you pray and surrender to him daily you will know his plans as needed.  Walk with the Lord and choose to seek his truth daily and your choices will be more Christ like and you will prosper in Gods plan.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

One of these days..

So many thoughts go through my mind as the day begins.  I would love to say I wake up with a smile everyday but I don’t.  This morning I wanted to hide under the covers and sleep. My mind said “Get up there are things to do but my body said “No oh so tired and weary.”  Well obviously it was mind over matter.  I usually do have something to say but yesterday I was rendered speechless other than homework assignments due.

Church was good and ironically the topic was very fitting for that day.  We all want peace in life and relationships.  When you desire forgiveness and friendship from someone whom is not willingly to give it; well it just humbles you to say “It’s in Gods hands.”

Life is wonderful to me and the idea of someone robbing me of life or anyone else breaks my heart.  We only get one chance to live a life on this earth and Glorify God; it is important to use it and appreciate every moment.  We go through wanting and desiring things not really knowing what is good for us.  God is the only one who really knows what we need because he has the plan.  I ask for the blue prints but I don’t get them but what I do receive is hope when I need it most.

Relationships with people may come and go but Gods love is everlasting.  Although I wish all of my hearts desires were in my hands I know that God has a reason for keeping things from me.  It’s the little things that we must appreciate the most before the bigger things can be given to us.

Bombs Away!

We are currently discussing relationships at church and how we destroy our relationships.  We are all guilty of dancing around the truth from little white lies to flat out bold-faced lies.  Sometimes a lie seems easier and less painful then the truth but it really isn’t.  It is the not knowing that hurts the most and to not tell the truth causes internal damage as well as external.

Although truth may hurt us sometimes, it’s Gods will to tell the truth and he will shine through you know matter what the truth is.  Pray for your relationships and always love others as Jesus Christ loves you.

John 8:31-32

31 So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Are you there God?

Psalm 10:1 Lord, why  are you standing aloof and far away? Why do you hide when I need you the most?

Hebrews 13:5 God has said, “I will never leave you; I will never abandon you.”

There are days and moments where I feel God has left me or hidden from me.  When the pain and struggles become so profoundly overwhelming that you can’t see through the tears.  Sometimes the past can take over the present with what if questions.  We have heard it many times, “Do not let your past dictate your future.”; This is great advice. The truth is if you don’t try you have already failed.

God loves you and I regardless of our sins; we are redeemed through Jesus Christ.  Never stop loving the Lord because he never stops loving you.

When you pray be open, honest, and truthful with God because he already knows your heart but wants you to offer it to him.  You can yell, scream, and cry to him.  He is there for you.

My Heart is in Your Hands

Psalm 25:14(LB)

Friendship with God is reserved for those who reverence him.  With them alone he shares the secrets of his promises.

In the past I was never one to trust many people or have faith in them.  Before I surrendered my life to Christ he was more of a baby in a manger and human than the Son of God.  The reason because he was in the form of a human.

Humans hurt humans and after many years of dishonesty, betrayal, pain, and sadness we as humans become guarded sometimes so guarded that our hearts are blinded and we don’t see the blessings God puts in our lives.

Now that God has shown me his truth and who I was made to be; even in my darkest hour I can seek him in prayer and find hope.  Remember your heart belongs to God so offer it up to him daily and see how it grows.

God is great and it is defined in every moment that you realize relationships may come and go but he brings us together with others to help see the light; his light.  In each relationship he orchestrates our talents, passions, and knowledge to fulfill in each other the wisdom he wishes us to know.

We don’t see the gift until he reveals it, in his time.

Who is it?

knocking on door

Proverbs 16:9  In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.

I was talking about life yesterday and who is interested or could be interested in me.  God has done wonders on this part of my life even though I may be single at this time I know now who it is that I want.

I don’t want the guy who just stares or sits and watches on the side lines.  I want a man, a King, who stands beside me and holds my hand.  I don’t want the guy who only focuses on the financial portfolio of a woman. Although being financially stable is a good thing.  The riches I possess can only be seen by a true follower of Jesus Christ.

I don’t want the guy who just wants food on the table when he gets home from work or extra attention on the fly.  I want a man who cooks in the kitchen with me or talks with me as I cook. I want a man who will not only listen but will share his heart too. If you can’t get excited in conversation with me than you won’t get excited anywhere else.

I am not the same woman I was yesterday or 2 years ago.  I am better.  Who is it that I want?  It is the man who knocks on my door to know the real me, to get into the trenches of my heart and know me inside out.
