God’s House

GodsHouse

When you let God in your life, the home you started to build will become a palace of wonderful love through Jesus Christ.

“Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing. He is getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on; you knew that those jobs needed doing and so you are not surprised. But presently He starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make any sense. What on earth is He up to? The explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of – throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers, making courtyards. You thought you were being made into a decent little cottage: but He is building a palace. He intends to come and live in it Himself.”
C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity

Seek and You Shall Find!

seek and you shall find

Matthew 7:7-8 (KJV)

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Today I was reminded of what God has for me.  I pray for God to bring the desires of my heart home to me and as God has always said “Ask and it shall be given to you; seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7-8)

What our hearts desire are Gods desires when you pray and walk with him.  I lose patience some days in the waiting for my hearts desires to come home to me but in each new day I find hope in the renewal of my mind in his word and prayer.

Regardless of what we do he has us in his hands. Believe in God as he believes in you and your dreams will come true.

Limited Time Only!

Limited_Time_Offer_300x300

Life is precious and short.  How can we live each day to the fullest to maximize our impact on the world and glorify God? We start on our knees in prayer and from there God will walk you step-by-step through your day.  With each step you take you have a choice to listen to Gods direction or take your own directional step.  He gave us free will to follow him or to follow nothing.  If you choose your way that is exactly what you will have; nothing.  Even the richest of men and women have nothing without the Lord because they feel empty inside.

Proverbs 28:6 Better a poor man whose walk is blameless than a rich man whose ways are perverse.

What will you do with your day today?  Will you live for God or live for you? Write down the things you want to do today with honesty and then pray about them all. God will show you what you need to do.

He’s Got This!

see-i-will-not-forget-you

The past few days God has shown me that where I belong is in his hands.  He’s got this!  I am officially a non-profit organization helping Single parents with a fresh start in life.

I can start receiving donations and grants to help others and it feels great.  Now is the difficult part of gaining the trust and faith of others through donations to keep us alive.  I hope you will be one of them!

God will take care of all our needs so I know he will speak to the hearts of those whom are meant to reach out to donate and spread the word about our great cause.

Isaiah 49;15-16 See! I will not forget you, I have carved you on the palm of my hands, your walls are ever before me.

Real people helping to change the world one life at a time!

We are looking for Businesses and Individuals to support our purpose of helping Single parent families get a fresh start.  Many times it’s not just the mom or dad that needs help it is also the Foster parent or grand parent that steps in to help the child or children in need.

We will be working with individuals one on one to help figure out their next step and give them financial support and put them in contact with the right help for their health, and well-being of the entire family.  A fresh start could be as simple as funds to pay for daycare or to buy a car that runs to get them to and from their obligations.

The first step is the hardest; that Leap of Faith.  With prayer and guidance from the Lord we will tackle the little things together to help families thrive with a Godly foundation.

FENCING IT IN

20150725_195411

Proverbs 24:26-27

An honest answer is like a kiss on the lips.

Finish your outdoor work and get your fields ready;

after that, build your  house.

Thanks to Mark’s Custom Fences and Lowes my beautiful new fence is up and my beautiful sanctuary garden can be built.  As I watched the building of my fence I was working on my research paper and dreaming of things to do to the backyard to make it into a peaceful oasis.  My home is a blessing that I do not want to take for granted.

With the death of the old me and my lack of appreciation for the little things, I am reminded daily as I walk through my home of what it really means to be grateful.  God gives me the things I need most and the things I long for will be given in his time not mine.  It’s difficult some days to not have what I truly long for but I also know that he is still building me up and my home to live better and to live for him.

Oh boy, oh boy, Change!!

Today, I awoke with the sense of more changes are coming.  I was reading in Jeremiah about the battle of Babylon and the destruction of the city because of their sin.  God’s wrath has been raised and he says its time to change their ways.  The wicked will be destroyed and the city walls will be burned down; no man will be left standing in the city for his sin has run his life into the grave.

Change is not always good but it can be great.  God takes the bad of the changes in our lives and uses them for the greater good.  That is why we are to thank him for all things good and bad, tears and joy.

The best thing about change is that you rarely know when it is coming.  I may feel like more change is coming but I do not know exactly what it is.  I have been working hard to balance my life and my budget but boy oh boy do I get the hiccups.  What do you do when you know it’s time for a change?

When I need an environment change but can’t always leave town I clean and declutter which is great when your mad or sad too.  You really clean by moving furniture into new spots of the rooms if possible so that when you go to sit or lay down you get a whole new perspective as you enjoy the cleanliness and newness of your hard work. Try it!
