Off with the Old and On with th New

To be sanctified or redeemed is to be reborn as Christian and set apart from your old life with a new life and walk with Jesus Christ.  Many new born Christians can become extreme because it is so important to fight the old ways off.  2 Corinthians 5:17   Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.  In the new walk with Christ your friends and family can be hurt or annoyed because your new ways are so different from theirs.   This is not always the case but it does happen more than not.

It is important for me to focus on the positive changes of my new walk with Christ and surrender myself everyday.  I realized recently that God was showing me that my worries of not messing up were causing more harm than good.  As I walk with Christ I have been working hard to avoid the things that cause me pain but at the same time I isolate myself as well.  Bring on the pain; no pain no gain!  You know the saying “Where ever you go; there you are.”  I can not always avoid seeing someone or something that causes me pain but I can hand it over to God in that moment and be amazed at the strength and growth that occurs.

By making a list of things you do differently in your walk with Christ; you will know the Glory that God has put in your life.   In each day we face temptations that could bring about old habits and ways of life, that is why praying and talking these challenges out with Jesus is so important.  God gives us strength to ward off the evil temptations but we must trust in him.

If you want to start a new life with Jesus Christ say these words of prayer and take the first steps in his light:

Dear Lord,
I admit that I am a sinner. I have done many things that don’t please you. I have lived my life for myself. I am sorry and I repent. I ask you to forgive me. I believe that you died on the cross for me, to save me. You did what I could not do for myself. I come to you now and ask you to take control of my life, I give it to you. Help me to live every day in a way that pleases you. I love you, Lord, and I thank you that I will spend all eternity with you.

Bare Necessities of Family Ties

John 15:5  Jesus said, “I am the vine, and you are the branches.”

Romans 12:5 Christ makes us one body… connected to each other.

Family is one gift that many have but take for granted.  It is only when God shows us those children and adults that do not have anyone to love them, that we realize how blessed we are.  Life without love is no life at all.  You might as well be dead if you choose not love.  God gave you life to love him first and love others as he loves you.

We all make choices for our careers and hobbies and if we are lucky our career is something in life that we are passionate about.  We work hard, maybe go back to school for more guidance and wisdom, have children, and plan our retirement and in between these things we often forget the sole reason we worry about making money and advancing in life.  The sole purpose of work is to be able to afford things like a home, car, food, and clothing for our family which are “The bare necessities” of life and the most important one is love.

Your first fruit of the day should be love.

Real people helping to change the world one life at a time!

We are looking for Businesses and Individuals to support our purpose of helping Single parent families get a fresh start.  Many times it’s not just the mom or dad that needs help it is also the Foster parent or grand parent that steps in to help the child or children in need.

We will be working with individuals one on one to help figure out their next step and give them financial support and put them in contact with the right help for their health, and well-being of the entire family.  A fresh start could be as simple as funds to pay for daycare or to buy a car that runs to get them to and from their obligations.

The first step is the hardest; that Leap of Faith.  With prayer and guidance from the Lord we will tackle the little things together to help families thrive with a Godly foundation.
