Passionate Purpose

passioncreate

Today’s morning was filled with knowledge ready to be applied.  My overbearing brain was telling me to get up and so I did.  God has a plan for us but it is not always pleasant for us.  When we go through change we fill loss and pain of some degree. But with pain we also grow through Jesus Christ.  We become more Christ-like and sharpen God’s purpose for us.  Our purpose in life is something we are most passionate about when it is used to Glorify God.

Where you are today is where God wants you to be.  You only need to be still and listen for his instruction.  Know that God loves you and he will never leave you.  Live each day to the fullest and be in the moment.  Make Goals each day and tackle the more important and difficult tasks first.  Make a checklist for your daily routine and goals and at the end of the day you will be filled with God’s love and peace.  You get one gift of life on this earth so don’t waste it.  Thank our Lord Jesus Christ for his sacrifice, serve, and love others as he loves us.

Having a daily devotional time with the Lord and reading his word is where you will find your purpose.  One of my favorite inspirational books for defining, and growing in your purpose is a book called “A Purpose Driven Life” by Rick Warren.   This book helped me sharpen my passions to glorify God and live more for him and less for me.  If you read these books you will find the answers you are seeking.

Love starts with Humility

A Discipler of Christ

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.

Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.

When pride comes, then comes disgrace,
but with humility comes wisdom.

Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

Pride brings a person low,
but the lowly in spirit gain honor.

Humility is the fear of the Lord;
its wages are riches and honor and life.

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Before a downfall the heart is haughty,
but humility comes before honor.

Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.

Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.”

God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.

So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.

Good and upright is the Lord;
therefore he instructs sinners in his ways.
He guides the humble in what is right
and teaches them his way.

Wisdom’s instruction is to fear the Lord,
and humility comes before honor.

You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.

Then he said to them, “Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. For it is the one who is least among you all who is the greatest.”

Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.

God’s Beautiful Script

Blessing-Quotes-and-verse

God can write the most beautiful things.  As I dream and write ideas down I have to laugh because I often wonder why I can’t have these in reality.  The romantic things that come to mind I have lived some but have yet to live others.  But as soon as I ponder this question God reminds me that you are still young and your new life has just begun.  I’m his baby of almost 4 … decades old.

He has so many great plans for me that I can’t even imagine; which I am grateful for because it sweetens the surprise.   Even through loneliness I find comfort with to do list of redoing Sela’s bedroom and ideas for renovating the kitchen and then working on my book and script.  I’m definitely not bored… haha.

I did make the mistake of telling Sela, a 9 year old, I was working on her room yesterday and of course I received several text asking if I was done with it in a matter of 30 minutes.  I am her wonder woman and she believes I can do anything.  I will be lucky if I get done before she comes home.  The Lord has me moving and shaking so as I act out his beautiful script I am thankful for living, I’m thankful for the people who do love me, my home, and all the other littles things he provides for me.

This is a year of Thankfulness and many blessings to come.

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him.
They will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.”

All You Need Is Love!

thUKBI4FKF

Today’s scripture was on the teaching of Gods love and the love of one another.  Even if you are a non-believer you are capable of loving others and being kind.  You may not believe in Jesus Christ or God our father but they believe in you.  God has a way of getting into your heart when you least expect it.

With dreams of changing directions and overcoming challenges God’s reminding direction for today is faith, hope, and love.  I am to have faith in him for my hearts desires and needs, hope through the trials, tribulations, and blessings, and love for him and others as I would want to be loved.  Worry over the little things does not make them better; it clouds our judgement to where we miss the little blessings within all the trials.  It’s not always easy to see the brighter side to a bad situation but if you pray about it Jesus will walk and talk with you as our father shines the light through the cracks to reveal the beauty. The answer to our problem is usually right in front of us but it is only revealed through your faith.

Jesus said, “Your strong love for each other will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” John 13:35

These three things continue forever: faith, hope, and love.  And the greatest of these is love.  1 Corinthians 13:13
