Stare or Stairs

Staring can get us in trouble or embarrass us. Sometimes we stare through things when others may think we are staring at them or something else. Sometimes we stare at people we find attractive or we do not like.

When you see something you like or want you can stare or you can take the stairs and go after it.  I know I have let my fear get in the way many times in my life and sometimes it was too late to get back what I lost.  Everyday the news reflects the loss of life and it saddens me.  We fight so hard to be right instead of being together and loving one another.

In each new day, I ask for strength, grace, and love, and to be able to hear, see, and feel the Lord as I walk the path he has chosen for me.  We strive to be Christ-like but we must remember we will never master it until we get to heaven.   God has great plans for me and my family.  It’s important to remember patience as I wait for my husband and in the process I learn more compassion to share in my ministry for other single parents longing to be closer to the one with the one.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Great Zeal

Romans 12:11

Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor,  serving the Lord.  Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

Life is full of challenges, wonderful exciting people and moments.  The challenges that God wants us to face are the very things that make life worth living for but it must be done with great zeal or passion. Anything in life worth having is worth fighting for; Life without zeal is no life at all.  We all long for things that we must have patience for and to do this we must pray daily and keep our eyes on the Lord.

Oh the Humanity

2 Chronicles 20:15

He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem!  This is what the Lord says to you: Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army.  For the battle is not yours, but God’s.

The challenges that the Lord has set upon my path are sometimes so overwhelming tears well up inside and I just have to unleash the frustration.  It’s a good thing I workout or things would just get too wild.

When you are constantly faced with wickedness and ego’s it feels like you are in an endless battle which may end for the day but it’s there the next day ready for you to take on.  That is why daily time with The Lord in prayer and renewing my mind is so important to me.  When a new day arrives I start an early rise of dedication to God that sets the stage for the day.  I do not know what is in store for me but when I face it I will be more prepared then I would be without Jesus and my Armor of God upon me.

Set your mind, body, and soul on The Lord and no battle will be too much for you to bare.
