Passionate Purpose

passioncreate

Today’s morning was filled with knowledge ready to be applied.  My overbearing brain was telling me to get up and so I did.  God has a plan for us but it is not always pleasant for us.  When we go through change we fill loss and pain of some degree. But with pain we also grow through Jesus Christ.  We become more Christ-like and sharpen God’s purpose for us.  Our purpose in life is something we are most passionate about when it is used to Glorify God.

Where you are today is where God wants you to be.  You only need to be still and listen for his instruction.  Know that God loves you and he will never leave you.  Live each day to the fullest and be in the moment.  Make Goals each day and tackle the more important and difficult tasks first.  Make a checklist for your daily routine and goals and at the end of the day you will be filled with God’s love and peace.  You get one gift of life on this earth so don’t waste it.  Thank our Lord Jesus Christ for his sacrifice, serve, and love others as he loves us.

Having a daily devotional time with the Lord and reading his word is where you will find your purpose.  One of my favorite inspirational books for defining, and growing in your purpose is a book called “A Purpose Driven Life” by Rick Warren.   This book helped me sharpen my passions to glorify God and live more for him and less for me.  If you read these books you will find the answers you are seeking.

The Feel of God’s Righteousness

tumblr_mdgemc5esp1r2y5tjo1_1280

As I read the scripture of Psalm 118; I felt the battle and the victory and it reminded me of what I have been through the last several years.  I love Gods sense humor and how he speaks to me. I am grateful for the many new opportunities to grow in Christ Jesus and the new people God is bringing into my life.

Psalm 118

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
    his love endures forever.

Let Israel say:
    “His love endures forever.”
Let the house of Aaron say:
    “His love endures forever.”
Let those who fear the Lord say:
    “His love endures forever.”

When hard pressed, I cried to the Lord;
    he brought me into a spacious place.
The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid.
    What can mere mortals do to me?
The Lord is with me; he is my helper.
    I look in triumph on my enemies.

It is better to take refuge in the Lord
    than to trust in humans.
It is better to take refuge in the Lord
    than to trust in princes.
10 All the nations surrounded me,
    but in the name of the Lord I cut them down.
11 They surrounded me on every side,
    but in the name of the Lord I cut them down.
12 They swarmed around me like bees,
    but they were consumed as quickly as burning thorns;
    in the name of the Lord I cut them down.
13 I was pushed back and about to fall,
    but the Lord helped me.
14 The Lord is my strength and my defense[a];
    he has become my salvation.

15 Shouts of joy and victory
    resound in the tents of the righteous:
“The Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!
16     The Lord’s right hand is lifted high;
    the Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!”
17 I will not die but live,
    and will proclaim what the Lord has done.
18 The Lord has chastened me severely,
    but he has not given me over to death.
19 Open for me the gates of the righteous;
    I will enter and give thanks to the Lord.
20 This is the gate of the Lord
    through which the righteous may enter.
21 I will give you thanks, for you answered me;
    you have become my salvation.

22 The stone the builders rejected
    has become the cornerstone;
23 the Lord has done this,
    and it is marvelous in our eyes.
24 The Lord has done it this very day;
    let us rejoice today and be glad.

25 Lord, save us!
    Lord, grant us success!

26 Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
    From the house of the Lord we bless you.[b]
27 The Lord is God,
    and he has made his light shine on us.
With boughs in hand, join in the festal procession
    up[c] to the horns of the altar.

28 You are my God, and I will praise you;
    you are my God, and I will exalt you.

29 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
    his love endures forever.

Be the Incredible….Happy New Year

20151231_195411~2Happy New Year World!

As I watched Ed Norton in The Incredible Hulk deal with a great power he didn’t want but was given, it reminded me of why God only gives us so much power as individuals.  As individuals with the type of power The Hulk was created to have we would destroy people and things closes to us without even trying and as a group of people it would be catastrophic aka mob mentality.

I have submitted my manuscript and pray that it will be published through this great publisher so that the gift God has given me can be shared in a powerful way.  Do not try to do everything on your own. God puts people in our lives with strengths that we do not have to help us grow and prosper in the gifts he has given us.  Don’t be afraid to ask for help.

No one really wants to be alone it just happens that way sometimes but its what you do with your time that is a test of God’s.  God wants to see how you will use your time.  Will you use your time wisely and selfless or will you be selfish and foolish? Look to Jesus for help and you will see the truth and love you seek.  God wants you to succeed with the gifts he has given you if you use them for good.

You know What I love?

loveoikos

You know what I love? I love the Lord.  There are days when I doubt my dreams, goals, and desires.  I ask myself, “Are you serious?”.  I do not have someone as in another human being asking me everyday “Did you do this? or Did you do that?” when it comes to my writing, and creative passions.  It is just me and God.  God is the only one that can make all these things happen and I am at his mercy.  My hands are his hands so when he says write I write and when he says stop I stop.  God does bring things to my attention by allowing me to see things on a to-do list that I would problem forget to do if I didn’t write it down.

I have been blessed with my first potential sponsor, my first potential song in the movie, and potential actors for the movie.  I’m no fool … no sirree… I plan to live for God not me.

I am looking for sponsors to help with catering food, restaurant locations for a scene in the movie and other additional products  and services we can showcase in the movie.  If you are a local business in the Memphis, TN (metro area) and would be interested in sponsoring us please email Stacey Robinson at actingoutforlove@gmail.com.

God’s Beautiful Script

Blessing-Quotes-and-verse

God can write the most beautiful things.  As I dream and write ideas down I have to laugh because I often wonder why I can’t have these in reality.  The romantic things that come to mind I have lived some but have yet to live others.  But as soon as I ponder this question God reminds me that you are still young and your new life has just begun.  I’m his baby of almost 4 … decades old.

He has so many great plans for me that I can’t even imagine; which I am grateful for because it sweetens the surprise.   Even through loneliness I find comfort with to do list of redoing Sela’s bedroom and ideas for renovating the kitchen and then working on my book and script.  I’m definitely not bored… haha.

I did make the mistake of telling Sela, a 9 year old, I was working on her room yesterday and of course I received several text asking if I was done with it in a matter of 30 minutes.  I am her wonder woman and she believes I can do anything.  I will be lucky if I get done before she comes home.  The Lord has me moving and shaking so as I act out his beautiful script I am thankful for living, I’m thankful for the people who do love me, my home, and all the other littles things he provides for me.

This is a year of Thankfulness and many blessings to come.

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him.
They will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.”

Jesus; This is How He Felt

It’s the first step in the path of my day and I see nowhere to put my foot except on the dark water…  God is amazing; I see only what I need to see. “Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)

Since God intends to make you like Jesus, he will take you through the same experiences Jesus went through. (Warren, R., 2013, p.173)

  • To deal with suffering and problems in life as Jesus did remember God has a plan and that it is good. “I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
  • To deal with suffering as Jesus did, we must rejoice and give thanks in the midst of it. “Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
  • To deal with suffering as Jesus did, refuse to give up. “Let the process go on until your endurance is fully developed, and you will find that you have become men of mature character… with no weak spots.” (James 1:3-4)

“You need to stick it out, staying with God’s plan so you’ll be there for the promised completion.” (Hebrews 10:36)

Do You See Me

camouflageanimals19

We all have something to offer others but we do not always know right away what our purpose is in life.  Without purpose in our life we are lost.  We cling to what others tell us we should do or should be.  God gave you a special gift and it is something you are passionate about.  The goal is to use the gift of life and talent God has given you to glorify him by loving him and others.

What are you passionate about? Do you know your purpose? A great book to read is “A Purpose Driven Life” by Rick Warren.
