The Way of Love

The Way of Love

1 Corinthians 13 If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don’t love, I’m nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate.

If I speak God’s Word with power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain, “Jump,” and it jumps, but I don’t love, I’m nothing.

3-7 If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t love, I’ve gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without love.

Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have.
Love doesn’t strut,
Doesn’t have a swelled head,
Doesn’t force itself on others,
Isn’t always “me first,”
Doesn’t fly off the handle,
Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn’t revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.

8-10 Love never dies. Inspired speech will be over some day; praying in tongues will end; understanding will reach its limit. We know only a portion of the truth, and what we say about God is always incomplete. But when the Complete arrives, our incompletes will be canceled.

11 When I was an infant at my mother’s breast, I gurgled and cooed like any infant. When I grew up, I left those infant ways for good.

12 We don’t yet see things clearly. We’re squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won’t be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We’ll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing him directly just as he knows us!

13 But for right now, until that completeness, we have three things to do to lead us toward that consummation: Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly. And the best of the three is love.

What am I Thankful for?

I am thankful for God.

I am thankful for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I am thankfurl for the pain.

I am thankful for the tears.

I am thankful for the laughter.

I am thankful for the smiles.

I am thankful for my life.

I am thankful for my family.

I am thankful for my friends.

I am thankful for the awakening of reverence from past relationships of a desire to be loved in a more profound Godly relationship designed and blessed by God.

And I am thankful for all these things because I surrendered my life to our Lord Jesus Christ.

God’s Beautiful Script

Blessing-Quotes-and-verse

God can write the most beautiful things.  As I dream and write ideas down I have to laugh because I often wonder why I can’t have these in reality.  The romantic things that come to mind I have lived some but have yet to live others.  But as soon as I ponder this question God reminds me that you are still young and your new life has just begun.  I’m his baby of almost 4 … decades old.

He has so many great plans for me that I can’t even imagine; which I am grateful for because it sweetens the surprise.   Even through loneliness I find comfort with to do list of redoing Sela’s bedroom and ideas for renovating the kitchen and then working on my book and script.  I’m definitely not bored… haha.

I did make the mistake of telling Sela, a 9 year old, I was working on her room yesterday and of course I received several text asking if I was done with it in a matter of 30 minutes.  I am her wonder woman and she believes I can do anything.  I will be lucky if I get done before she comes home.  The Lord has me moving and shaking so as I act out his beautiful script I am thankful for living, I’m thankful for the people who do love me, my home, and all the other littles things he provides for me.

This is a year of Thankfulness and many blessings to come.

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him.
They will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.”

Promises

promises

The only promises that you should hold to are those of Christ-like promises.

No promise in the world can keep Gods love away.

Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

John 6:37 “All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.”

2 Corinthians 5:21 “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
