Your heart represents the source of all your motivations-what you love to do and what you care about most. Another word for heart is passion. Don’t ignore your interests. Consider how they might be used for God’s glory. There is a reason that you love to do these things. (Warren, R. 2013, p.215)
Often when we suffer a great loss we feel lost. It happen to me last year. I suffered a great loss and I couldn’t understand what God was doing. I was tired of feeling like I didn’t belong here or with anyone. Wondering what God’s plans were for me. I felt lost. A friend suggested I read “A Purpose Driven Life” and so I did. For this very reason, our program with Acting Out For Love Corp. has been built. Without purpose we feel useless and lost and therefore we usually become destructive to ourselves and the people we love. Find your purpose and live for God. You will enjoy life so much more once your eyes are opened to the blessings that he has given to you.
Through our pain it is hard to see what we already have from God; take off the blinders. Surrender yourself right now and experience something more powerful than you can ever imagine.
As a face is reflected in water, so the heart reflects the person. Proverbs 27:19
Serve the Lord with all your heart. 1 Samuel 12:20
Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Proverbs 4:23

The secret to endurance is to remember that you pain is temporary but your reward will be eternal. (Warren, R., 2013)
You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good. Genesis 50:20
God is doing what is best for us, training us to live God’s holy best. Hebrews 12:10.
God has chosen each one of us for something great but it is up to us to be still, listen, and know that he is God. As I read God’s word daily I am either prompted to share my thoughts or he withholds them for another time. Sometimes I wake up from dreams with so much to say I have to write it down on paper to sort out what is Godly and what is not. We can’t always say exactly how we feel because in the heat of the moment our meaning and goal of the discussion gets lost and pointless words are said and feelings are hurt. Words do hurt even when said behind close doors. We are all guilty of this and the best thing to do is to pray about it.
As I wonder my next move in life I do not worry intentionally, although it pops in daily, on my hearts desires. I verbalize my dreams and surrender all to our Lord Jesus so that with his guidance I can see the blessings I have now and the ones yet to come.
It’s the little things that I smile about and say “Thank you Jesus.” on a daily basis. I am blessed to be able to get up out of bed, pour a cup of coffee in a warm home, and read God’s word cuddled up on the couch. The great appreciation for the small things would not be possible without the struggles I faced before. I was blessed with support from family and friends and challenges by special people placed in my life.
There are good days and bad days, good moments, and bad moments but through it all I am shown the greater good. I do not want to go through life without emotion because it is my emotions, passions, and desires that God uses to bless others and as I learn more and more on a daily basis from him I become wiser in his eyes and that is what I live for.

Jesus said, “People need more than bread for their life; they must feed on every word of God.” Matthew 4:4
Now I am turning you over to God, our marvelous God whose gracious Word can make you into what he wants you to be and give you everything you could possibly need in this community of holy friends. Acts 20:32
“What is the next move for me God?” is the question I have today. What is my next move to be what God wants me to be and where should I be? As I read the “Daily Inspiration for The Purpose Driven Life” today I reflect on the things that have brought me to this point in my life. Even though I feel young my birthday number rises and as long as I take care myself the saying is true that “Age is just number.” I want to live to at least 100 with all my wits about me and hopefully still able to move on my own without a walker, cane, or wheel chair.
There is so much that we can do to better the future for ourselves, our children, and our family legacy. I want to make a difference in others lives and give them support and comfort that the troubles that are before them will pass if they only believe in Jesus Christ and God our father. We all suffer in different ways in our youth and adulthood to give comfort to others and share Gods word. So all the heartaches, pain, betrayal, shame, and lies I have faced will give me compassion for others and the ability to show them how I got through the similar issues they may be facing.
Our sins and those who sin against us do not go unpunished and they do not go unused for Gods greater good. My next move is given to me in each step I take throughout the day. At the end of each day I can look back to the point where I started and see how far I have come and be satisfied knowing that I walked with Jesus and our father in every move.
Be careful how you think, your life is shaped by your thoughts. Proverbs 4:23
I was standing in line at the grocery store reliving a moment that brought me sorrow. The actions that took place brought back bad memories and it was as if God was saying “This is why you are to follow me. Such pain only comes when you stray.” My daughter was talking to me but I didn’t hear her until it dawned on me that I was letting my feelings control my actions. When you are upset your whole body reacts and causes you to feel tired, overwhelmed, and sad but it is up to us to steer those actions as Godly as possible by calling out to Jesus to help. What I saw in my mind was a future of brokenness again; a home that was falling apart. I have been rebuilding a rundown home I don’t want to tear it down again. It’s the little things that make us very aware of the big picture. Building a home on a Godly foundation is so important and who you allow into your life determines the pace and strength of your faithful walls. God gives us what we need but he also gives us free will. When we forget to ask from moment to moment if this is his will or our own we can become unstable and the wall you just built could crumble or crack.
We are called to renew our minds daily because everything is controlled by feelings whether you agree or not. When God speaks to us we feel it and when he blesses us we feel it.
There must be a spiritual renewal of your thoughts and attitudes. Ephesians 4:23
Do not let ungodliness invade your life without a fight. When we long for something or someone too much we lose sight of what God wants us to see first. Renew your mind with daily prayer and talk to Jesus as if he was sitting right next to you. When we verbalize what God already knows he blesses us with our surrendering words.
For this is the secret: Christ lives in you. Colossians 1:27
We were all created to be like Christ and there are three responsibilities in becoming like Christ:
- We must choose to let go of old ways of acting.
- We must change the way we think.
- We must put on the character of Christ by developing new godly habits.
These three things are the toughest things in life you will face. It is not always easy to take the high road. Our old ways are not gone overnight they take constant attention to and discipline. We all come with a past and things or people in our lives that we hold dear. When you choose to spend your life with someone you and them are a package deal. As long as you walk in the truth with God all things are possible.
